About the Author Martin R. Phillips is an extremely passionate historian, archaeologist, and most recently a writer. Ever since Martin was a young boy he has been fascinated with ancient cultures and civilizations. In 1990, Martin graduated with distinction from the University of Cambridge with a double major in History and Archaeology. Upon graduation, Martin worked as an archeologist and travelled the world working in various excavation sites. Over the years, while working as an archaeologist, Martin became very well cultured and gained great insights into some of the most historic civilizations to ever exist. This first hand insight into the ancient cultures of the world is what sparked Martin's newest passion, history writing and story telling. In 2012, Martin decided to retire from archeology to focus on writing. Over the years he has seen and experienced a great deal of fascinating things from all over world. Martin now spends the majority of his free time putting all of his research, experience, and thoughts onto paper in an attempt to share his knowledge of the ancient cultures with the world. Over the past few years Martin has excelled in his writings. His narrative style has a way of combining the cold hard facts with a story teller's intrigue which makes for an excellent reading experience. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Have a journey through Ancient Egypt. By John C. David Ancient Egypt is very fascinating, mysterious and has a unique spirit to it. Aside from the pyramids and hieroglyphics, scholars and experts keep on getting new discoveries. We were able to translate some of the materials we've found but I believe it will take us more years to totally decode it and understand the true story of Egypt. I learned from this book that myths and gods were very important part of Ancient Egypt, for a long period of time, these gods played prominent roles in Egypt civilization. This mythology made Egypt’s history rich and colorful.“Egyptian Mythology” is one exciting book packed with stories that will inform and entertain you at the same time. I recommend this book to students and individuals who love reading about study of myths.

I've always been interested in ancient Egypt and its myths ever since I can remember. I read books about the subject, watch documentaries and movies and go to museums - everything more I can learn about ancient Egypt is fantastic. And I must say I learned a lot with this book. Some things were familiar to me but there's always more to learn. As always with one of these books by Martin R. Phillips, it was well-written yet not too academic and it also read very fast since it's only fifty pages long. It's just how I like it. There's no way to fit every single god or myth in something this short but I thought the author did a good job with trying to contain the important gods and myths. So yes, another highly enjoyable, interesting and quick read!

I learned a great deal about Egyptian mythology and understanding Egyptian morals and principles. It’s amazing how well rounded and grounded the Egyptians were when it came to their principles of Ma’at. An advanced society, for sure. This guide also covers the Egyptian soul, pyramids, and so much more. I highly recommend this guide for anyone interested in learning about Egyptian Mythology.
